When you arrive for the first time at a Ritz Carlton Battery Park hotel, you will be very impressed with the decor, level of service and attention to detail. Not to mention, the luxury feeling, of having someone always opening the doors and have them ask if they can get you a cab, is simply great. Furthermore they will take your bags INTO your room, not just to the door. Even at nights when you come back to the hotel (whether at 11 pm or 3 am) there is someone to open the doors and someone in the hotel lobby welcoming you back to the hotel. 

The rooms are very plush and spacious with incredibly comfortable beds and excellent amenities. You can have a great view from your room of the statue of liberty, so you might even dont need to go with the ferry to Liberty Island because of the great view you have of the Statue of Liberty. While you enjoying the view, you might want to use the room service and you will notice that it is superb with very friendly staff. 

Another great part about the hotel are the bathrooms. The water pressure is great, and it really does make a big difference.

Concierge is very helpful and accommodating along with the bar staff.

There is also a in the fitness lounge, with a great view while you working out on the treadmill. Later you want to go to the bar and enjoy a pitcher of mojitos, while watching the boats go by as the sun set... which is simply amazing. Also the hotel restaurant is a cozy place to enjoy a calm evening

It is a great value and away from the crowds of Midtown, nearby to SHO Shaun Hauget (very new and popular, reservations are a must) and Les Halles a nice sturdy Brasserie. There are always cabs available.

So if it is just for the weekends or a business trip, its always a pleasure to get pampered and enjoy the ammenities of this property. You will like how quiet Battery Park can be on the weekends...

Battery Park itself is a very nice location, you can easily walk around the hotel and enjoy scenery including the Statue of Liberty and many other attractions like Pier and Wall Street, Soho and Ground Zero, which are in a walking distance. Further easy access to all areas of the city via public transport (Underground X2 stations nearby, Bus stations and Taxi), Hop On Hop Of station is one block away, there is a pharmacy and a grocery shop one block away.   Concierge is knowledgeable and helpful. This hotel is highly recommended for a lovely stay in Beautiful NY.

In the morning you should try the hotel excellent  breakfast, which you surely will enjoy, which comes highly recommended.
